How does the WOW Facial® work?
The WOW Facial® consists of 6 steps that combine a number of skincare methods to produce stunning results leaving your skin radiant and glowing.
1) WOW cleanse and Prep
This first step makes sure your skin is well prepared, by giving you deep cleanse.
2) Peel and treat
A selection of 4 peels are available to be selected depending on your skin care needs. The WOW peels improve acne, oiliness, pigmentation, sun damage and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
3) WOW Fusion®
The WOW fusion device is a small medical device with 20 very small (0.6mm) and very fine needles. Your practitioner will then make a personalised, sterile skincare solution using various skin loving ingredients. The WOW fusion device lightly stamped into the skin and the 20 small needles deposit your personalised skincare solution, under the protective layer of the skin. Here it makes a dramatic difference to the hydration, condition and health of your skin. The WOW fusion device has the potential to be slightly uncomfortable for some, but the results are WOW.
4) WOW LED Light
Healing LED light therapy available in 3 colours depending on your skin type. Red for healing and collagen stimulation, blue for acne and surface inflammation and green for sun damage, pigmentation and photo ageing.
5) THE MASK by WOW facial®
Super strength, hydrating, stimulating, soothing and cooling mask. Full of magic ingredients to supercharge your WOW facial®
6) Finish, WOW and protect
Your WOW facial practitioner will choose the ideal finishing solution for your skin to ensure your skin is treated accordingly adding an extra WOW factor. Hydrating eye serum and the WOW factor SPF50 is added as standard so don’t leave the salon without them as your skin deserves love at home too.
How long until I will see results from the WOW Facial?
The wonder of the WOW Facial® is how instant the results are. The WOW facial has been designed to fully meet the needs of your skin and to encourage it to shine with beauty and youthfulness straight away. Your results will continue to develop even after 3 months of having the treatment.
Is there any downtime?
The WOW facial is designed to have no downtime, so that when you leave the clinic your skin will be glowing and luminous. However, in some cases, certain skin types might appear rough following the exfoliation and rejuvenation stages, this should clear within 2-3 days.
The acids in the WOW Facial® may cause your skin to become dry or flaky, feel tight and even peel, this is all part of the exfoliation process. Step 3 includes use of the WOW fusion device which breaks the skin and might occasionally leave very small bruises, however this is highly unlikely. We would encourage you to use the intense repair complex to help speed up the healing process.
Does the WOW Facial® hurt?
The WOW Facial® includes acids that are essential for rejuvenation. These tingle slightly when applied but are not designed to hurt. The WOW fusion involves the use of tiny needles and whilst most people tolerate this, some people, depending on skin type, may find this slightly uncomfortable while the fusion stage is being carried out.
How many treatments of the WOW Facial® are needed?
The longevity of your results from one treatment depends on your skin requirement and the amount of upkeep you maintain with aftercare. You might want to have a WOW Facial® when you have a WOW event approaching. With good aftercare maintenance, your skin should continue to benefit from your treatment straight away and for the next three months. To target specific skin concerns, it is advisable to opt for a course of WOW Facial® treatments. We offer courses of 6 to address concerns like acne, hyperpigmentation, rosacea, but your therapist will advise you accordingly during your skin analysis and consultation.
Maintenance treatments in-between having WOW facials are encouraged to prolong the results from your facial. Home care kits are available for purchase- simply speak to your therapist who will assist you with this.
